Sarit Weisburd, Policing , Crime & Rationality
Abstract:
This seminar will provide an overview of how Becker's 1968 model "Crime and Punishment: An Economic Approach" relates to current trends in policing and public support for these policies.
I will focus on the applied literature examining the causal impact of policing on crime, and specifically on my work regarding "Stop, Question, Frisk" and "Rapid Response Policing."
