"In Conversation" Series

Lecturer:

Dr. Devorah Manekin (Hebrew University)

Title:

Ethnic Identity and Nonviolent Resistance.

Abstract:

Nonviolent resistance is often claimed to be far more successful than violent resistance. We show that ethnic identity deeply affects these outcomes, and investigate one possible avenue - majority-group allyship - that can increase the effectiveness of nonviolent resistance among ethnic minorities.

Location:

Eilan Hall, Feldman Building, Second Floor, Edmond Safra Campus.
