Title:
The Big Leap Forward in AI: The Era of Deep Neural Networks
Abstract:
After decades of frustratingly slow progress, the field of artificial intelligence has undergone a dramatic transformation. This change has been fueled by the advent of deep neural networks. These networks, when trained on vast amounts of data, have shown superior performance in many domains, surpassing older methodologies.
The talk will delve into the capabilities, inner workings, and shortcomings of these networks. A significant part of our discussion will be dedicated to Large Language Models (LLMs), such as GPT-4 which are at the forefront of this transformation. We will examine the emergent intelligence these models display, highlighting their potential and limitations.
